Yahweh- Our Provider

As missionaries we never really know how much we are going to get each month. We set a budget as to what we usually need, but the Lord decides how much comes each month... This last month we've had some financial setbacks, but have not gone without- we've had the resources to do what needed to be done. This last week, both vehicles broke down and some other unexpected things have come about to make us wonder what was up. Yesterday I got a phone call saying that we would not be getting a full paycheck today because not enough money came in to cover it. So we're planning on going to language school in May and we don't even have enough to pay our monthly bills for April!
Lord what's happening!!??!?
Maybe the timing is wrong for language school-- ok, Lord you have our attention... we thought.
Or maybe there is something up and you are trying to get our attention so we can deal with you-- you got it!!
Or maybe this is another opportunity to trust You when it looks like nothigns working out in our favour...

Which of the three is it? We weren't sure. Then in this mornings devotions (My Utmost for His Highest) is about following even if it seems we may have misunderstood Jesus...

Are you debating whether you should take a step of faith in Jesus, or whether you should wait until you can clearly see how to do what He has asked? Simply obey Him with unrestrained joy. When He tells you something and you begin to debate, it is because you have a misunderstanding of what honors Him and what doesn’t. Are you faithful to Jesus, or faithful to your ideas about Him? Are you faithful to what He says, or are you trying to compromise His words with thoughts that never came from Him? "Whatever He says to you, do it " ( John 2:5 ).

So Shar and I concluded that we should still plan on going to Language School anyway, despite how it looks or sounds (Crazy!).

An hour later I check my bank statement to find that a full check is in the account!?!?! What happened?! I call the YUGO rep in Canada who tells me that a sizeable check came in the mail this morning before she went to the bank! Enough to give a full check and a little more! PRAISE GOD!!

Please pray that we would be faithful to follow Jesus and trust Him daily- and Praise God with us for His incredible provision and faithfulness!!

Thank you all for coming along for the journey with us!!

You guys teach me so much about trusting God. I tend to worry about money, and my circumstances are much more regular. Thank you for sharing.
